How do I apply for a security worker license in Saskatchewan?

To get your Saskatchewan Security Guard License and start working, follow these easy steps:

STEP 1: Take the mandatory Saskatchewan Basic Security Training (SBST) with an approved Training Provider.

STEP 2: Book and pass your Government Exam.

STEP 3: Apply for Security License.

STEP 4: Start working when you receive your Security License!

Sting Executive Group International is an accredited training provider. The SBST online course is broken down into seven modules and an online test with 75% or above. Trainees must complete all modules, tests and assignments in order to book the exam.

Upon completion of the course, you are eligible to write the Government licensing exam.

SEGI covers the provincial exam fee for your first exam.

NOTE – Cheating will not be tolerated and if you are found cheating, you will be disqualified from any further exam bookings and revoked any licensing privileges.

Processing of your application may take as long as 2-3 weeks, so the earlier you apply the better. Ensure your application is complete as incomplete applications will be returned which may result in a delay of your license being issued. You are not eligible to start work as a Security Guard unless they are in possession of a current and up to date Security Guard License.
